True aneurysms of the femoral artery are the second most common peripheral aneurysm. The aneurysms are located in common femoral artery and multiple. Isolated atherosclero- tic superficial femoral artery aneurysms are also extremely rare. They are most often seen in elderly men, predominantly affecting the right lower extremity, and they are most often seen in the middle-third of the artery. In general, these aneurysms are presented with distal embolization, localized pain in association with a pulsatile mass or acute thrombosis. Unusually, aneurysm may thrombose gradually and chronic arterial occlusion may develope. In this report, we presented a patient with isolated superficial femoral artery aneurysm who did not coincide with the information known. The patient was relatively younger with the femoral artery aneurysm located at the left limb at the distal part and presented with intermittent claudication.
