Results of reoperations in peripheral vascular diseases

430 vascular reconstructive operations have been performed in our clinic between the dates of February 1985- December 1993. At a mean time of 16 months 52 (% 12) cases had reoperations 38 of these 52 patients (% 8.3) had only one, 12 (% 2.7) had two and 2 had three reoperations. Distrubution of reoperations are as follows; 22 patients (% 5.1) had graft thrombectomy and profundopatchangioplasty, 8 patients (% 1.8) had graft thrombectomy and femoro­ popliteal bypass, 2 patients had (% 0.46) aortofemoral rebypass, 2 patients had (% 0.46) aortobifemoral rebypass, 2 patients had (% 0.46) common carotid subclavian rebypass, 6 patients had (% 1.4) femoropopliteal rebypass, 7 pa­ tients had (% 1.6) graft removal due to graft infection and 3 patients (% O.7) anastomosis pseudoaneurysm repair. Morbidity was % 32.6 with 17 amputations and mortality was % 7.6 with 4 deaths.
