RETROSPECTIVEEVALUATION OF A-V FISTULA THAT HAS BEEN PERFORMED FOR HEMODIALYSIS IN OUR CLINIC

It is examined that which type of A-V fistulae was better far 229 patients that had been performed A-V fistulae in our clinic. Mean age was 46.7 and M/F ratio was 1 /1.388 A-V fistulae were performed far these patients, 260 of them we re (% 67) B-C type, 128 of them were (% 32.9) A-C type. Far 135 patients A-V.fistulaes were perform ed once and they are all patents. For them mean' patency time is 28 months far B-C type and 19.5 months far A-C type. When compared about the complicati ons thrombus was seen more in B-C type, whereas aneurysm, edema, infection were more in A-C type. So it is det ected that es­ pecially far old, diabethic and arteriosclerotic patients mean patency period was longer far A-C type fistulaes.
