VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS DEVELOPED DURING LUMBER DISC HERNI OPERATIONS

The incidence of vascular complications during the lumbal disc herni operation was found 0.1% but 50% mortality of these complications was reported. Vascular surgical intervention can be flifesaving when these complications are noticed. Chronic complications (arteriovenous fistula and false aneurysms) of vasculr injury which is developed during the lumbal disc herni operation should be keep in mind. We presented four cases had vascular injury during the lumber disc hemi operation in la.st 10 years in GATA Cardiovascular Surgery Department. First two of them had acute complications which required emergency vascular inte rvention. Last two cases had false aneurysm which is developed after lumber disc herni operation.
