POPLITEAL ARTERY ENTRAPMENT SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT

Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES) presenting as progressive claudication or sudden limb ischemia in yo­ ung healthy individuals is an uncommon cause of peripheral vascular disease. Entrapment of popliteal artery results from an abnormal relationship of this artery to normal or abnormally placed muscles within the popliteal fossa. in this report, our approach to a 42-year-old man with PAES presenting with intermittent claudication of left lower leg caused by short distance walking and surgical treatment are presented in the light of literature.
