Abstract
In the UH group 45 patients (27°İ4 were operaled secodarily.11 patients (6.5%) had a recurrent emboll, and 7 (4%) had bleeding. In this group the amputation rata is14%,and the mortality rale Is 11%.
In the LMWH group,21 patients (24%) had a second operation, and recurrent emboli was feund in 5 (5.6%) of them, 3 Patients (3,4%) had a bleeding event .The amputation rata is 12.5%, and the mortality rata is14.7%. Asa result, although there lanet a sensible difference between unfraclionated heparin and low molecular weight he-parin as a prophylaclic agent , in the prevention ol recurrent embolic altacks atlar surgery ler acute peripheral arta-dal thromboembolism , low molecular weight heparins are proved to be more advantageous being easer to use and follow tıp.
