POSTTRAUMATIC PSEUDOANEURYSM OF THE ANTERIOR TIBIAL ARTERY AND ITS SURGICAL REPAIR (CASE REPORT)

Posttraumatic pseudoaneurysm formation on the peripheral arterial vasculature is very rare and occurs as a late complication after arterial injury. The external pressure of pseudoaneurysm may cause ischemia of the extremity. It can be diagnosed easily by history and physical examination. Even there are a lot of choice for treatment of such cases, technique of surgical reconstruction of the vessel using a saphenous vein Interposition graft is the advised one. We report a case of 25 year old patient with posttraumatic pseudoaneurysm of anterior tibia artery diagnosed after 18 months of a gunshot and repaired successfully in our clinic by using saphenous vein interposition technique.
