ANEURYSM OF THE INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY: CASE REPORT

A 72 years old woman who had swelling at neck, dysphagia and pain lor two months was referred to our clinic. She was operated because of the diagnosis of carotid artery aneurysm. The aneurysmal sac was resected and the inter­ nal carotid artery continuity was achieved with saphenous vein. There was no other neurologic deficit except dyspha­ gia, which spontaneously recovered at 2 weeks postoperatively. The carotid Doppler Ultrasonography carried out at 2 months postoperatively revealed that the saphenous vein graft was patent.
