FOLLOW UP SUFFICIENCY OF EXTREMITY CIRCULATION iN VASCULAR SURGERY BY PULSE OXIMETRY AND ANKLE-BRACHIAL PRESSURE INDEX

in this study, the purpose was ta evaluate usage of pulse oximetry which is applied since 1980s' in cardiovascular surgery field far patients ta be undergone vascular surgery (grafting, embolectomy) both in order ta follow up circula­ tion and ta control treatment, and ta compare it with ankle-brachial pressure index (AB PI). For patients data regar­ ding saturation at preoperation, after operation and first hour of postoperation and ABPI at preoperation, postopera­ tion and first hour of postoperation was recorded. Significant changes were determined in all data. it is concluded that pulse oximetry and measurement of ABPI can be helpful in order ta determine sufficiency of therapeutic interferen­ces in early period far vascular surgery in an easy and a cheap way.
