CHILDHOOD ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSMS: A CASE REPORT AND REWIEV OF LITERATURE

Two abdominal aortic and one right iliac saccular aneurysms were detected in a 12 years old boy. When the literature was reviewed only 8 cases with abdominal aneurysms more than one (multiple) were found to be reported with no specific etiologic factors documented. In some of these congenital multiple aneurysms peripheral arterial involvement have been indicated as well. In children admitting with abdominal pain and weight loss the possibility of the presence of congenital abdominal aneurysms should be kept in mind together with other etiologies.
