CAROTID TO INNOMINATE ARTERY GREFT INTERPOSITION IN A SYMPTOMATIC PATIENT WITH CAROTID ARTERY ANEURYSM

Our aim is to show that carotid to innominate artery bypass can be done safely in a symptomatic patient with aneursymatic and nearly totally occluded common carotid artery to whom endarterectomy or stent grefting can"t be done. Innominate artery to common carotid artery interpozition with a greft was done to a 54 years old male patient with a complain of dizziness on left arm and a history of syncope, without opening the pericard . Incision was made to the carotid arterial side and combined by the median sternotomy incision. (Turkish J Vasc Surg 2006;15(3):41-44).
