THE REPAIR OF ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM IN A PATIENT WITH HORSESHOE KIDNEY-NEPHROLITHIASIS

Abdominal aortic aneurysm is a pathology that is able to treat with convantional surgical techniques or the endovascular prosedures. However horseshoe kindey is also rarely together with abdominal aortic aneurysm and rise techniqual hard in the surgical treatment to vascular surgeons. In our clinic it was made desicion simultanously treatment in a patient with nephrolithiasis and asemptomatic infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm. It was seen the patient having a horseshoe kidney intraoperatively. It was made a successful surgical treatment include the repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm and the intervention of nephrolithiasis. Thus horseshoe kindey was seen rarely together with abdominal aortic aneurysm in the literature, we want to report this case. (Turkish J Vasc Sur 2008;17(1):27-30).
