Travmatik Tip B Diseksiyonunun Perkütan Transfemoral Endovasküler Tedavisi

Mortality related to acute traumatic aortic dissections depends on the section of the aorta involved. Most of the patients die before they are diagnosed. As a result it is hard to signify the real incidence in aortic dissections. The risk of operative mortality and paraplegia in type B dissection is higher. However in recent years percutaneous transfemoral endovascular stenting of the aorta has been an effective treatment method with lower mortality and complication rates in aortic dissection. Here we report a case of aortic dissection who underwent successful percutaneous endovasculary stenting of the descenting aorta.
