Juxtarenal Leriche Sendromunun Tedavisinde Torakofemoral Bypas

Using the infrarenal segment of abdominal aorta as a source of inflow is the choice of therapy in surgical management of Leriche syndrome. This intended source, however, can only be provided by thromboendarterectomy in juxtarenal Lerich syndrome in which abdominal aorta is occluded through renal arteries. On the other hand, because renal artery embolism during thromboendarterectomy of infrarenal aorta is a serious complication, alternative extraanatomic surgical procedures may be considered. Axillary artery may be considered as a source of inflow but reported rates of long term patency are fairly low. Instead, thoracic aorta is increasingly used as a source of inflow in recent years. We performed an extraanatomic thoraco-bifemoral bypass in a patient with juxtrarenal Leriche syndrome in order to avoid risk of renal arterial embolization.
