Hemodiyaliz İçin Damar Giriş Yolları: Bir Merkezin Deneyimleri

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the patient profiles who are hemodialysed and hemodialysis access for 18 months in Van Yüksek Ihtisas Hospital, and to emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary approach to End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF)patients. Material and Methods: The study was conducted with 50 ESRF patients between january 2007 and june 2008, 28 men and 22 women. The mean age was 43.93 ± 27 (19-74). All ptients were ESRF and treated with hemodialysis (HD). The evaluation and follow-up of the patients were done according to causes of ESRF, HD duration, HD Access. Results: Of the 50 patients, 42 hemodialysed with AVF, 5 with AVG, 2 with tunneled catheter and 1 with tunnelless catheter. 2 of AVG were synthetic 3 were native saphenous vein graft. 1 patient with tunneled catheter was applied native saphenous vein graft and there was no complication during the follow-up period. 1 patient with tunnelless catheter had AVF operation. The mean HD duration for women was 54.85 (± 41.88) months and 46.46 (± 40.03) for men. Patients who have problems with HD access were evaluated by Radiology expert with Doppler USG, MR angiography. Then patients whos" AV fistulas needs revisons were revised by car- diovascular surgeon. Conclusion: ESRF patients needs multidisciplinary approach and follow-up.
