Eşlik Eden Koroner Arter Hastalığı ve Koroner Arter Anomalisi Olan 59 Yaşında Bir Hastaya Aort Koarktasyonu Nedeniyle Desenden Aortaya Tüp Greft Konulması

Aortic coarctation is defined as the narrowing of the descending aorta just below the left subclavian artery. The diagnosis of aortic coarctation is usually done in the first years of life and treated in the same period. The long-term period mortality and morbitidy rates keep high in the elderly patients that are treated surgically. Untreated aortic coarctation is not concordant with li- fe in the long term and most of these die before the age of 50. We present here an elderly diagno- sed woman with aortic coarctation at the age of 59. This patient had concominant coronary artery disease, coronary artery anomaly and aortic coarctation treated surgically with a tube graft placed in the descending aorta. Since the coronary artery anatomy was unsuitable, intervention to the ob- struction of the coronary artery was thought to be unnecessary. The patient has a normal life in her fourth postoperative year.
