Sentetik Vasküler Greftlerin Yurdumuzda İlk Uygulamaları: İlk Aorta Abdominalis Anevrizma Ameliyatı

Initially, an experience was gained by transplanting synthetic vascular grafts in aorta abdominalis of a dog. In 4.3.1960 at Ankara University of Medical School 2. Surgical Clinic, in a case of aorta abdominalis aneurysm of a human being, aneurysm was removed and defected abdominal aorta was replaced by the synthetic arterial graft The result was succesful. As far as we know, it was the first application that was conducted fifty one years ago. Due to the historical importance of the subject, the publication of this report in Turkish Journal of Vascular Surgery was thought to be significant.
