Gecikmiş Posttravmatik Arteriovenöz Fistül ve Venöz Anevrizma Cerrahi Onarımı

Traumatic arteriovenous fistula is a clinical entity which can be mainly seen after a gunshot injury, penetran stab injury or fracture, where vasculature is closer. This entity covers %10 percent of all penetran vascular injuries. It can be diagnosed and treated surgically many years af- ter trauma. Our patient was 54 years old man. He had a gunshot trauma history to his left leg 44 years ago. He was complaining from swelling, intermittent pain and color changing on this extremity. Color doppler ultrasonography and magnetic resonans angiografi revealed left femoral arteriove- nous fistula and dilatation of arteries and veins. After the resection of the fistula, we interposited the saphenous vein graft both to arteria and vein. As a result, traumatic arteriovenous fistula can be diagnosed and treated surgically many years after the injury. Careful assesment of patients complaints is very important for diagnosis and treatment.
