Açık Cerrahi ile Başarılı Tedavi Edilen Redo Tip I Diseksiyon Olgusu

Aneurysm formation or aortic dissection can occur at the anastomosis site if primary aortic pathology cannot be fixed properly. Here we report a case of aortic dissection diagnosed early after ascending aorta replacement. A 50 year old male patient who had undergone ascending aorta replacement for Debakey type 1 aortic dissection 5 months ago admitted to our outpatient clinic with symptoms of heart failure and syncope. On transthoracic echocardiography, severe aortic valve insufficiency, a flap appearance in the ascending aorta and functional aortic stenosis were seen. The patient was re-operated, and the aortic valve, the ascending aorta and the aortic arch were re- placed. As a result of aortic dissection, aortic valve insufficiency and acute coronary syndrome may be expected. In addition to aortic insufficiency, functional aortic stenosis was also developed in this case.
