İmplante Edilebilen Kardiyak Elektronik Cihazlar: Aksiller Girişim Yapılan Hastalarda Erken Dönem Komplikasyonların Geriye Dönük Analizi

Objective: Implantable Cardiac Electronic Devices (ICED) are known to improve quality of life and prolong survival in selected patients. The aim of this study is to investigate early complication rates after ICED implantation. Material and Methods: We retrospectively analyzed ICED procedures via axillary vein route in 196 patients between 2014 and 2016. Complications in the perioperative period and 1 month follow‑up were recorded. Results: 145 male (74%) and 51 female (26%) patients were enrolled in the study. The mean age of the patients was 66.4±12,9 (20-92) years. We observed five early period complications. There were no peri-procedural fatal complication. Conclusion: Results of our study demonstrates that, ICED implantation via axillary route is safe and feasible.
