Trousseau syndrome: Carcinoma-associated deep venous thrombosis

A paraneoplastic syndrome should be considered in advanced-stage cancer patients with superficial thrombophlebitis of unknown origin presenting with deep venous thrombosis (DVT). This syndrome is known as Trousseau syndrome which is characterized by hypercoagulability and DVT accompanied by a malignancy. Herein, we present an-82-year-old male case of Trousseau syndrome presenting with an advanced-stage metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma.
