Complications of arteriovenous fistula in hemodialysis patients: Two case reports

End stage renal disease is a clinical condition which can be curatively treated with kidney transplantation and can be fatal, affecting all organs, if left untreated. Hemodialysis is the most commonly used renal replacement treatment in Turkey. Arteriovenous fistulas created for hemodialysis include early bleeding, thrombosis, infection, edema, venous hypertension in the extremity, aneurysm, and fistulization to the skin. Herein, we present two cases of arteriovenous fistula in whom complications related to the arteriovenous fistula were successfully treated in our clinic.
